you know having a poor diet or even being overweight could lead to health problems like high blood pressure or hypertension as Chris 6 News reporter Ashley Portillo explains one group of people is especially at risk Mike the American Heart Association says more than 40% of African American men and women develop high blood pressure or hypertension and that puts them at risk for more severe problems like heart disease or stroke hypertension is more prevalent among African American than other racial and ethnic groups so today I’ll be speaking to a doctor about why this group of people is at a greater risk to develop the silent killer and I’ll have that full story for you this evening on Cris 6 news
